Arsenal has a mere three remaining chances for Premier League title rivals Manchester City to slip up, following their 5-1 victory over Wolves at the Etihad on Saturday evening.

It is extremely frustrating to witness one of Arsenal’s most dominant performances gain a critical three points and leave only two games remaining for your biggest opponents to comfortably, or rather, romp to victory shortly after. Manchester City did just that against Wolves, but Liverpool fans may respond, ‘Get used to it!’
As the fourth and fifth goals were scored at the Etihad Stadium, the truth became evident, and you began to reflect on where points may have been earned. Whether it was the unfairness of Villa Park, whether the ball went out of play against Newcastle United and West Ham, or the fluke of Chelsea’s two goals at Stamford Bridge and Jorginho’s gift versus Tottenham.
However, when you consider that Arsenal has collected 43 of a possible 48 points in 2024, you know how difficult it is to overcome Pep Guardiola and his team. Taking the championship fight to the last day, as Arsenal would ensure if they defeat Manchester United, would be a stronger drive for the league than they made last year.
There is still cause to be optimistic about City’s last three matches. First up is Fulham, which remains one of the venues for Arsenal’s most poor performance of the season.
However, the Cottagers needed to win on the day, as Marco Silva’s team has taken five points from the Gunners this season. This giant-humbling, of course, provides cause to hope they can do it again against City in little under a week; but, if you want to keep that confidence, you should definitely avoid looking up how Fulham fared the last time they faced.
Then comes Tottenham. Yes, Arsenal’s title ambitions are dependent on their bitter North London rivals earning an unexpected victory against City in North London.
