LeBron James, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers, consistently captivates basketball fans. On Friday, he did the same for the opposition player. The Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 123-120, at FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Grizzlies were severely undermanned, with 13 players on the injury list for the game. Nonetheless, they managed to keep the game close, taking a 118-117 lead with 1:06 remaining to play. That’s when James seized over. The 20-time All-Star scored six points in the final 44 seconds to secure the victory for the purple and gold.
Grizzlies rookie GG Jackson, who led the team in scoring with 31 points, was asked by media after the game how it felt to play against James. Jackson’s reaction sounded more like a joyful young fan than an on-court competitor. “It was exciting to watch him take over a game. I am not going to lie. That was bad—. Sorry, Mom, for cursing. But that was bad—. “That just goes to show how great he is,” Jackson remarked.
If Jackson sounded like a little kid throughout his interview, it’s because he is. The 19-year-old had not yet been born when James was chosen into the NBA. Jackson more than matched James. Jackson ended with 31 points on 12 of 23 shooting, including 7 three-pointers. James outperformed him, scoring 37 points on 13/20 shooting while also grabbing 9 rebounds and five assists.
Jackson has already gone famous on social media for his fan-like responses to important NBA events. Fans may remember Jackson as the rookie who was taken aback after receiving a praise from Shaq.
